A common inedible fungus can be found in the oakwoods of Derrybawn during Autumn.
Also know as 'The Razor Strap' fungus, it grows in Summer and Autumn but is present throughout the year.
Also found in Birch Woods, associated in folklore with Leprechaun and 'Pookie (fairys). While highly poisonous, they were said to be taken by Vikings when rampaging.
