McCoys Bed and Breakfast is situated in the lovely Vale of Laragh, which leads on to Glendalough Monastic site only 2 minutes drive away. Laragh and Glendalough are placed in the County of Wicklow, on the East Coast of Ireland.

The bungalow setting is away from the road in a quite and peaceful hollow but yet is in the heart of the village with shops and craft centres, a restaurant, and the local pub Lynhams, which provides music and chat for all to enjoy, especially after a good days walking, or visiting the nearby attractions. The Wicklow Way walk passes nearby.

All rooms are furnished to a high standard and kept meticulously clean by the proprietor Diane McCoy. There is a comfortable lounge for the sole use of guests, with television and fine fireplace. There is a spacious garden where you can sit and view the surrounding hills. Central heating is included.

Glendalough , with its monastic connections, which is close by, provides interesting walkways that have been specially constructed to aid the visitor to view the ancient buildings and churches. Other places of interest include Russborough House, Powerscourt Gardens & Waterfall, Avondale House & Gardens , Mount Usher Gardens, Clara Lara Funpark. Glendalough is situated at the centre of the Wicklow National Park.

Other attractions include; horse trekking, quad biking, fishing, cycling, golf and superb walking. Other places worth a visit are Avoca Handweavers and the locations of the TV series 'Ballykissangel' , 'Reign of Fire' (2001) which was filmed on Wicklow Gap. Wicklow Goal, Greenan Farm Museum and National Exhibtion Garden in Kilquade are also within the vicinity..

In less than 30 minutes driving you have the choice of upto 10 golf Courses, including Djouce, Powerscourt, Roundwood, Druids Glen and Woodenbridge.
